Cougars Face Chargers With Championship Berth On the Line

Men's basketball continues their terrific run this postseason tonight at 8:00 ET as they face the Columbia State Chargers in the semifinals of the TCCAA Tournament.

Columbia State is 20-11 this year (8-10 TCCAA) and is fresh off of a 69-64 upset of #3 Southwest Tennessee last night in overtime. The Cougars and Chargers split their season series this year, as Columbia State won 79-62 in Columbia, Tenn. on Dec. 1 and Cleveland State won 79-70 at home on Jan. 26.

Delaino Walker has averaged 20.5 PPG and 8.5 RPG in the tournament and will look to continue that streak of good games to help power the Cougars to the championship. Jonathan King has also been productive for Cleveland State, scoring 15.0 PPG and grabbing 5.5 RPG.

If the Cougars win tonight, they will advance to the championship round against either #8 Roane State or #4 Dyersburg State. That game will be decided just before the Cougars play at 6:00 ET.
