
Cougars Golf Competes in The Jefferson State and Brad Rose Invitationals
Cleveland State finished in eighth place overall in each of their past two tournaments.
At the Glenlakes Invitational hosted by Jefferson State Community College in Foley, Alabama on March 10th and 11th in a tournament where several of the top teams in the nation competed the Cougars came one stroke away from a seventh place finish.
Andrew Mccarver ended up in 19th place and moved his national ranking to 107. Carson Minish finished in 24th helping his national ranking go up to 78th overall. A full list of the overall individual and team standings can be seen at this link.
In the Brad Rose Collegiate Knoxville Open hosted by Roane State March 17 and 18, Carson Minish finished in 13th place with a +5 score overall for the Cougars best score. Carson Milen shot +9 in the tournament for Cleveland State's next best finish individually. The full tournament results can be seen here.
"We started strong, but did not end well in the Brad Rose Invitational," head coach Shannon Skipper said. "We are excited about our chances of a strong finish."
The Cougars golf team has two more tournaments before the Southeast District Tournament. Next up is the tournament Cleveland State hosts at The Ooltewah Club in Ooltewah, TN on March 30 and 31 with tee times set for 9 a.m. each day.
