Cleveland State Volleyball recorded their first win of 2021, defeating region foe Roane State 3-1 on Thursday evening.

The Lady Cougars got off to a hot start in the match, going on a 12-2 run and winning the first set 25-17. In the second set, Cleveland State had to rally back twice from down 12-7 and 17-14 and eventually took an 18-17 lead and won the set 25-22. The third and fourth sets featured back and forth battles with the Lady Raiders, with Roane State winning the third set 25-18 and Cleveland State the final set 24-21.

The Lady Cougars will be back in action on Tuesday as they face 2-0 Walters State in a crucial region matchup. Match time is set for 6:30 PM.
