The Cleveland State Volleyball team fell 3-1 in a matchup with nationally-ranked region foe Walters State on Tuesday evening.
"The name of the game was defense," said head coach Alizabeth Atnip. "Our girls battled like they haven't all season. We came together and put up a fight against a tough Walters State team. We were a well-rounded team tonight and I'm proud of our Cougars."
Claire Beasley led the team with 6 kills. Megan Lee, Madeline Dasher, Maggie Hurst, and Loryn Wilson all also chipped in five kills a piece.
The Lady Cougars will be back in action on Thursday as they contiune their homestand against Chattanooga State. First serve is set for 6:30 PM.
