The Cougars travelled to Boaz, AL Monday night for their first regular season game of the year vs Snead State. Cleveland State didn't get off the start they anticipated losing 71-52.

Offensively, Freshman Tony Sapp led the Cougars with 10 points, with teammates Jai Howard close behind with 9 points, Marcus Averhart 8 points, Miguel Shaw 7 points and Kris Green 6 points with 3 assists.

Defensively, Freshman Tony Sapp led the Cleveland State with 5 rebounds, with teammates Marcus Averhart and Miguel Shaw with 4 rebounds apiece and Khris Green with 3 rebounds.  

Cleveland State will be back in action Thursday, November 4 as they host Gadsden State Community College for their first home game of the season. Tip off is set for 7:30pm
