The Cougars travelled to Columbia State Monday night as they came up short, losing 42-67.

Freshman, Marcus Averhart led the team with 16 point, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists. Teammate, Sophomore K'Juan Banks not far behind with 15 points and 2 rebounds.

Head Coach Rafael Howard, "We didn't come to play tonight, Columbia State played with more energy and toughness from beginning to end. We'll watch film and hopefully put ourselves in a better place on Wednesday."

The Cougars will be back in action Wednesday, January 26 as they travel to Roane State.
