Cleveland State Golf Wins! Sunday March 27 was a big day for Cougar Golf as they increased their 11 shot lead to 14 and won the Alice Lloyd Spring Invitational. In the field of eight Indiana University East came in second while Shawnee State came in third.
With scores of 144 teammates Isaac Meador and Dalton Sutton played off for the individual winner of the tournament and Meador came out on top. Dalton then finished second while Nic Ravnborg shot a 150 to finish seventh. Continuing with their strong individual scoring that led to the team win Cain Stover tied for eighth shooting a 151 and Jarrett Glass with a 154 tied for 13th.
Weather-wise the second day was as brutal as the first when unseasonably cold weather at Battlefield Golf course in central Kentucky caused a three hour delay to the start of the final round. The Cleveland State Golf team showed their skill and heart to not only withstand the competition but to ignore the extreme wind and cold conditions.
