Big day for Cleveland State golf on Tuesday April 26 as they broke a third-place tie with Roane State in the 2022 NJCAA Southeast District Tournament to qualify for the 2022 National Tournament hosted in Joplin Missouri.

 

In a rain shortened final round at the Golf Club of Bristol the Cougars beat Roane State by four strokes assuring their trip to the Nationals.  ABAC was one shot ahead of Cleveland State, finishing in second while Walters State finished first up by eight shots.

 

In the nine-hole final round Isaac Meador was tied for fifth with a 37 while Dalton Sutton tied for 11th with a 36. Nic Ravnborg and Cain Stover tied for 14th shooting a 36 and 41 respectively as Jarrett Glass shot 35 finishing 17th.

 

The National Tournament is set for May 17-20 and is played at the Twin Hills Country Club in Joplin.
