Cleveland State Women's Basketball suffered a tough 67-63 on their home floor on Saturday afternoon to Chattanooga State. The Lady Cougars were able to come back and tie the game, but it was not enough to fend off the Lady Tigers in the end.
Four Cleveland State players reached double-digit scoring totals. Asjah Harrell led all scorers with 18 points and also grabbed five rebounds, dished out two assists and stole the ball from Chattanooga State twice. Both Emma Harig and Michaela Bennefield scored 15 a piece, with Harig posting a double-double with 10 rebounds along with an assist and Bennefield posting seven rebounds, two steals and one assist. Nicky Jones chipped in 10 points of her own off of the bench and also had a game-high four steals and two rebounds.
The Lady Cougars will be back in action next Saturday as they travel to Roane State to face the Lady Raiders. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
