The Cleveland State Lady Cougars dropped a hard fought game to the Chattanooga State Lady Tigers at L.Quinten Lane Gymnasium on Wednesday night by the score of 62-58.

The Lady Cougars led most of the game until the last minutes of the fourth quarter. Top scorers for the Lady Cougars were Michaela Bennefield with 22 points and Asjah Harrell with 16 points. Emma Harig also finished in double figures with 13 points.  Bennefield registered a double-double with sixteen rebounds while also leading the team in steals with five.  

Bennefield was also named the TCCAA Player of the Week for her performances against Walters State and Motlow State last week.

The Lady Cougars return back to action at home next Wednesday when they play the Raiderettes of roane State.
