COUGAR GOLF STRUGGLES WITH ELEMENTS IN MUSIC CITY INVITATIONAL

The Cleveland State golf team traveled to the Nashville area for the Music City Invitational being hosted by Trevecca Nazerene University.  The tournament was being [played at the Hermitage Golf Club in Hermitage, TN.  

The Cougars struggled in their first round of play as they recorded a team score of 313 (+25) to finish in 15th place after the first day.  

As Individuals, Dalton Chuba had the lowest socre of the day at 76 (+4) which has him in 44th place.  Tyler Jackson carded a 76 (+6) and Wes Spillers a 79 (+7) which placed them 64th and 72nd individually.  Trent Cooper scored an 80 (+8) and Harrison Haupt and 83 (+11) for 75th and 82nd.  

Play continues today as the Cougars hope to improve on their team standing.  They are only one of two junior college teams comp[eting in this event with several NCAA Division II and NAIA four year institutions.
