The Cougar golfers took to the links for the seccond day of the SVSU Spring Invite. Although three golfers fared well on the day, they dropped four spots and finished 15th in the final team competition.
Wes Spillers sjot a 147 (+3) for both days to finish in a tie for 17th place among the close to 110 plus golfers competing in the team event as well as individuals. Dalton Chuba was at 150 (+6) for the two days to place him a tie for 33rd place. Trent Cooper shot a 154 (+10) for a tie at 63rd. Harrison Haupt was at 164 (+20) for 100th, and Tyler Jackson finished 106th with a score of 167 (+23).
The team score for the two days was a 614 (+38). They were the only two year school competing in the event against NCAA Division II institutions. Both Spillers and Chuba had scores higher than some individuals ranked high in the NCAA poll for individual golfers.
