Season in Review: Women's Basketball

Women's Basketball, in head coach Evelyn Thompson's second year at the helm, went 8-17 and 6-10 in TCCAA play.

The Lady Cougars started their season 2-1 with wins over Covenant College's JV team and Dyersburg State. They also closed their regular season on a high note and went on a great winning streak to end the season with two nail-biting victories over Dyersburg State and Southwest Tennessee in overtime.

In the quarterfinals of the TCCAA Tournament, they fell to second-seeded Motlow State 77-72. During the tournament, which took place on the Lady Cougars homecourt, Hannah Phillips was named to the TCCAA All-Conference second team and Britnay Gore was named to the All-Conference First Team.

Gore led Cleveland State in PPG and RPG with 12.2 and 8.8 respectively. Jordan Smith led the Lady Cougars with 3.7 APG.
