
DeAndre Allen, Former CSCC Baseball Player, Passed Away
Cleveland State Athletics mourn the loss of former CSCC shortstop, DeAndre Allen.
Former Cleveland State baseball player, DeAndre Allen, tragically passed away in a car accident last week. Cleveland State Athletics would like to send our most sincere thoughts and prayers to the Allen family during this trying time.
Allen played shortstop for the Cougars from 2011-2013, finishing his final season with a total of 32 runs, 43 hits, 3 home runs, 26 RBI's and a .301 avg.
Head Baseball Coach and Athletic Director, Mike Policastro, had this to say, "Deandre was an outstanding young man, for the two years he attended Cleveland State he was a pleasure to be around. He loved baseball and being around his teammates. We will always remember him for his smile and love of cookies. He will be truly missed."
Assistant Coach Aaron Bryant also added, "DeAndre was a pleasure to be around and coach. On top of his great talent as a baseball player he was a great teammate. Always had a smile and brought the most positive energy. His personality was contagious. He will be greatly missed."
