10 CSCC Baseball Players Move on to 4-Year Schools
Ten now former Cleveland State baseball players will continue their academic and athletic careers at four-year colleges.
Cleveland State's baseball team usually will have around 12 to 15 sophomores on the team and about 75% to 80% of those move on to 4-year schools.
Here are the recently graduated sophomores that will be moving on to the next level of collegiate play. First baseman Joey Roberson will be attending Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia. Shortstop Trey Vanderpool has enrolled at Trevecca College in Nashville, TN. Third baseman Trey Martin will attend Bluefield College in Bluefield, VA.
Pitchers Greg Tye and Ryan Lloyd will both attend Carson Newman University in Jefferson City, TN. Catcher/first baseman Logan Peterson will be going to the University of Alabama-Huntsville while pitcher Tyler Zac attends Limestone College in Gaffney, SC. Corey Linz will be moving on to Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA. Second baseman Noah Hill and pitcher Hooper Mills will both attend Eastern Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN.
All of these former Cougars will leave the Cleveland State Baseball program in good hands to the upcoming freshman and sophomores for the upcoming season under the direction of Head Coach Mike Policastro and Assistant Coach Aaron Bryant.
