Cleveland State's men's and women's cross country teams are traveling to Austin Peay this weekend, to compete in the Austin Peay University Invitational. After their previously scheduled meet was canceled, the cross country team is ready to lace 'em back up and hit the trail in competition. Last week, Head Coach David Kyle signed Dillon Clark, a Walker Valley High School wrestler and graduate. This signing will provide added depth to the men's team and help their overall time at future meets.
On the upcoming meet Head Coach David Kyle commented, "After competing in our first meet at the Reinhardt Invitational we realized we had some work to do. We have taken the last two weeks to train on some very tough miles. It's been very beneficial for our team. We had two hard practices on Monday with the rest of the week tapering down. I expect tough competition at this invitational. I'm confident that my team can prepare and rest correctly so that they have the best chance at finishing with good times. The team and I expect to have a good showing overall."
The CSCC Cross Country team will race in the Austin Peay Invitational on Saturday, September 23rd at 9:00 AM.
