Cleveland State's men's and women's basketball team split their games against Chattanooga State on Saturday. The Lady Cougars won their matchup by a score of 62-57 while the men lost, 77-68.
Abby Hubert led the Lady Cougars, tallying 22 points 4 rebounds and 6 steals. Ebony Kelley was 3 steals away from a triple double, scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 7 steals. Jordan Smith and Keya Jenkins contributed 10 points and 7 points respectively while Julia Gaither added 5 points. The Lady Cougars are now 9-5 (4-3) on the season and have won 5 of their last 6 games.
For the men's team, they were led by Domont'a Wright who scored 22 points on 9-16 shooting. Wright also had 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Delaino Walker added 10 points, 5 rebounds and a block. Josh Parker had a nice game coming off the bench, scoring 12 points and snagging 7 rebounds. The Cougars are now 8-6 (4-3) and have won two of their last 6 games.
