Cleveland State Baseball Opening Day
Veteran coach Aaron Bryant looks to start his first year as the Cleveland State Baseball head coach
by building on a Cougar 2024 championship game finals appearance in the Tennessee Community
College Athletic Association NJCAA Region 7 tournament. His first challenge will be to face off vs
Georgia Highlands who is National Junior College Athletic Association pre-season ranked #6 in the
country.
Cleveland State opens the 2025 season with a doubleheader set vs Georgia Highlands College
scheduled to be played at the Chargers home field on Friday January 31. Games are slated for start
times of 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. EST.
On Sunday February 2 Georgia Highlands returns the favor and will travel to play Cleveland State at
the Cougar Baseball Field at 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. EST. There is an $8 admission charge per person
with no charge for Cleveland State students, administrators, faculty or staff.
Inclement weather had caused cancellation of the January 24 and January 25 three game road series
opener vs South Georgia State College.
In the 2024 season the Cougars and Chargers were scheduled to play but were cancelled due to bad
weather.
