Cougs Handle Senators For First 2021 Win

Cleveland State Men's Basketball earned their first win of the 2020-21 season on Wednesday, defeating the Senators of Walters State 80-70. 

The game saw four different Cougars reach double digits in scoring. Khristian Green led the team with 16 points and 4 assists while also grabbing three boards and recording two steals. It was also a big night for Damian Forest, who notched a double-double with 15 points and a game-high 13 rebounds while also posting an assist, a steal and a block. Both Jaiden Julian and K'Juan Banks also had double-digit points, scoring 13 and 11, respectively.

The Cleveland State bench also put on an impressive show, outscoring Walters State's bench 28-6. The stellar play of their bench combined with the great work from their starters helped the Cougars build their largest lead in the game of 12 points, which occurred at the 12 minute mark of the 2nd half.

Cleveland State will look to bring their conference record to 2-1 as they host Motlow State on Saturday in their next contest. Tip off is set for 5:00 PM.
