The Cougars had their chances late, but fell in their home finale 61-58 tuesday night against the Bucks of Motlow State. They play their regular season finale on Thursday night against chattanooga State and then wait to see who they play in the first round of the Region tournament.
A close game throughout the cntest, Cleveland took a 30-29 lead at the end of the first half on a 3-pointer by Mauricce Dickson. Motlow would forge ahead late in the contest, but the Cougars fought back and had a couple of chances late in the game to take the lead or tie the contest. They had three shots in the last ten seconds, but couldn't get the elusive shot to fall.
The Cougars had two players in double figures as both Damian Forrest and K'Juan Banks each had 15 points in the game. Forrest made it a double double by leading the team with 16 rebounds and also had four blocks in the game.
