Cleveland State Men's Basketball won a huge conference game on Saturday, winning 67-51 over the Tigers of Chattanooga State. The win brings the Cougars to 5-3 in TCCAA play.
Despite the uneven final score, the two teams played a thrilling game with 10 lead changes and four ties before the Cougars were able to pull away from the Tigers in the end. Cleveland State also outscored Chattanooga State 24-8 in points off of turnovers and forced 23 turnovers to the Tigers' eight.
Maurice Dickson led all scorers with 16 points while also grabbing six boards with a steal. Both Jaiden Julian and Damian Forrest also had 13 points, eight rebounds, and two steals a piece.
Cleveland State will be back in action next Saturday as they face the Raiders of Roane State in Harriman, Tenn. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
