LADY COUGARS GET BACK IN WIN COLUMN; DEFEAT MILLIGAN JV
The Lady Cougars ended their three game losing streak Tuesday night as they defeated the junior varsity squad from Milligan College by an 83-58 final.
Cleveland shot out to a 25-17 advantage by the end of the first quarter and expanded that lead to 51-26 at the break. The second half saw the teams swap points as the Lady Cougars substituted freely to get players playing time experience.
Leisa Butler (pictured) led the team with 15 points. The squad placed four more ladies in double figures with Catherine Davis next finishing with 12 points. Keya Jenkins came off the bench to score 11 while Julia Gaither and Abby Hubert each tallied 10 points in the win.
Toniya Hurst led the team with seven rebounds and Porchia Turner led with two assists. Jenkins led the team with three steals.
