Men's Basketball suffered a heartbreaking defeat on Wednesday evening, falling 83-74 to Motlow State in overtime in Tullahoma, Tenn.
A bright spot in the contest was that four different Cougars were able to reach double-figures in scoring. Kerry Pratt led the way scoring 19 total points, while it was a career day for Jimmy Brown, who reached career highs in points scored and rebounds with 12 and eight, respectively. Both Jakobey Hitchens and Jon Morgan posted double-doubles, with Hitchens scoring 13 points paired with 10 boards, while Morgan posted 10 points and 10 rebounds.
The loss puts Cleveland State at 5-9 overall on the season and 2-4 in TCCAA play. The Cougars will be back in action on Saturday, when they host Columbia State. Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 ET.
