Person Breaks Record vs. Roane State Wednesday

Men's Basketball suffered a loss to Roane State at home on Wednesday night, falling 90-76 to the Raiders.

It was a milestone game for Demonte Person. Person broke the Cougars' career assist record, previously held by Cam Copeland in his years at Cleveland State from 2016-2018. Person's team-high five in the game gave him a career total of 219 in his two years for Cleveland State. He also scored nine points and grabbed four boards.

It was also a career night for Torian Daly, whose personal best 18 points led the Cougars. He also had four rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Both Jager Dickson and Jakobey Hitchens also reached double-digits in points, scoring 11 a piece. Jon Morgan led the team with five total rebounds.

The loss puts the Cougars at 8-12 on the season and 5-6 in conference play. They will be back in action on Saturday, as they travel to Southwest Tennessee. Gametime is scheduled for 5:00 ET.
