Men's Basketball suffered a 83-60 loss at Columbia State on Saturday evening.

Jaquez Hicks had a historic night for the Cougars, breaking the program's single-game record for blocks, which was set by Kasheef Baker in 2012, blocking seven Charger shots.

Demonte Person also had a huge game for the Cougars in the effort. The sophomore posted team-highs in points, assists, and rebounds, with 20, 5, and 7, respectively, while also posting a couple of steals. Jon Morgan was also able to post double-figures for the Cougars, scoring 15 points, while also grabbing five boards and recording two steals and a block.

"This was a difficult match-up at this point in the season with where we are in numbers and depth," said head coach Lee Cigliano. "Columbia is a solid team and we just couldn't matchup with them on this day. We just have to figure out a way to get better this week and the week leading up to the tournament."

The Cougars will be back in action for a big game against Chattanooga State in Chattanooga on Wednesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 ET.
