Costly errors in both games Monday afternoon played into the Lady cougars dropping both ends of their doubleheader 5-3 and 8-4 to Columbia State.
In the first game, two errors at critical times kept innings alive for the vistors. In each case, the Lady Cougars had either tied or closed the gap in the contest. The cougars had seven hits with McCoy hensley and Amber Atkins each collecting two hits. Atkins, Shayla Pjillips, and Makala Strickland each hand an RBI in the dontest. Anna yell took the loss as she surrendered three hits but five walks with four runs in five innings of work.
In the second game loss, the home team had six hits with no one collecting mutliple hits. Atkins, Kaylee Hughes, Katie Davis, and Gracie Dodson each had an RBI. Macy Smith took the loss as she gave up five runs on two hits and three walks.
