The .Lady Cougars swept the Lady Raiders of Roane State on Wednesday afternoon as they won 9-0 in five innings in the first game and held on for a 6-5 triumph in the second game.

McCoy Hensley played a big part in both games as she had 3 hits with 3 RBIs and a home run in the first game and then scored two runs in the seocnd game on one hit with another RBI.

She started game off with a blast over the left field fence as the Lady Cougars plated six runs in the first inning. She finished the scoring in the inning with a two run single.  Kaylee Hughes would add a two run home run in the 2nd inning and then Anna Yell would drive in her second run of the day on a groundout to conclude the scoring.  Yell, Makala Strickland, and  Lexi Vogle each had tow hits in the first game win.  Yll would get the pitching victory as she went five innings, surrendering five hits with two walks and two strikeouts.

The Lady Cougars built a 6-0 lead after two innings in the second game as Amber Atkins would drive in three runs with a sacrifice fly in the first inning and blast a two run shot in the second inning.  Vogel would be the only Lady Cougar with two hits in the game, both singles.  Macy smith would get the win in the game as she went the first five innings, giving up two runs (none earned), two hits with one walk and six strikeouts.  Hannah thasher would ge the save with two innings, surrendering three runs (one earned), five hits with one strikeout.
