LADY COUGARS STAY UNDEFEATED AGAINST SNEAD STATE

The Cleveland State Lady Cougars stayed undefeated on the young season as they defeated the Lady Parsons of Snead State by a 65-54 final.  They would build a 34-18 lead by the end of the first half, and hold off their hosts in the second half for their third win.

Both teams started slow as Snead held a 5-3 lead with three minutes to play in the first quarter.  The Lady Cougars would outscore their guests 15-4 to take an 18-9 lead as the first break.  They would score 16 points in the scond quarter and hold the Lady Parsons to nine points again for a 34-16 advantage at the half.  Asjah Harrell would lead the team with 16 points in the first twenty minutes.  She was backed by De'Zah lacy with eight points and Emma Harig with six tallies.  

Snead would outscore the Lady Cougars 21-13 in the third quarter to tighten the lead to eight at 47-39 in favor of the Lady Cougars.  Cleveland would maintain that lead throughout the final quarter to finish out with the win.

Harrell would finish with a team high 26 points while Harig would come on strong in the second half to finish with 19 points.  Harrell would also lead the team with seven rebounds and five assists while matching Lacy with four steals in the contest.  Kyisha Dalton also had six rebounds in the win.
