The Cougars travelled to Dayton, TN to take on the Lions of Bryan College on Monday night. With team effort they are bringing home the win 97 TO 61.

Head Coach Evelyn Thompson had a lot of good things to say about the team and the win. "Tonight's game was a team effort. Everyone was involved on the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. We had 6 players in double figures."

Sophomore, Nicky Jones led all scores with 21 points. She was just as impressive on the defensive end with 6 steals and 5 rebounds. Sophomore, Asjah Harrell came through with 18 points, 7 assists, and 7 rebounds. Freshman, Kiersten Hudson gave us a complete game with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. Sophomore, Keisha Dalton contributed 17 points and 6 rebounds. While Sophomore, Michaela Benefield controlled the paint with a double-double with 13 points, 3 assists, and 10 rebounds.  Sophomore, Emma Harig rounded us off with 11 points and 7 rebound. With freshman, Cassandra Vaughn 2 assists and 2 rebounds. And Freshman, Victoria (Tori) Harden had 1 rebound and 1 assist.

Coach Thompson said "I was proud of the total team effort. We needed a game like this to propel us into Wednesday's game versus Walters.

The cougars are now 8-2 in the conference and 12-3 over-all.

Cleveland, will be back in action Wednesday, February 2 as they travel to Walters State. The Senators gave the Cougars their first loss on the season 69-61 on December 1. The Cougars are looking forward to the matchup as they take on the now 9-1 in the conference and 11-5 over-all Senators.
