Cougar Softball Releases 2023 Schedule

Cleveland State Softball has released their 2023 Softball Schedule with 10 out of the first 16 games slated to be played at Cougar Softball field on the campus of Cleveland State during the month of February.  The Cougars open the season on the road with a doubleheader at Georgia Highlands on February 3.  A week later on February 9 Cleveland State's home opener is a scheduled doubleheader vs Calhoun Community College with start times of 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. EST.

Remaining non-conference opponents during February include Shelton State, perennial powerhouse Lake Land College and national tournament participant Snead State.  The Cougars will play Highlands, Calhoun and Snead in home and home doubleheaders.

The 2023 schedule of 54 games includes 36 conference games scheduled to begin on Friday March 3 and Saturday March 4 vs Dyersburg State at Cougar Softball Field.  The 20 game schedule in March features a home non-conference March 7 matchup vs Gordon State College and an additional home conference series vs Roane State with doubleheader play on March 17 and 18.

Concluding March conference play are road series vs Jackson State on March 10 and 11, Motlow State on March 24 and 25, and lastly Chattanooga State on March 31 followed by April 1.

After the initial April 1 doubleheader vs Chattanooga the Cougars play four additional conference opponents in four game series play.  Home series include Columbia State on April 7 and 8 and Volunteer State on April 21 and 22.  Cleveland State takes to the road to play Walters State on April 14 and 15 and finish regular season play at Southwest on April 28 and 29.
