Cleveland State softball took both games of a double header against Tennessee Wesleyan JV. The Cougars brought their bats to the park dominating game one ending it early in five innings 10-2, while also putting up double figures in runs in game two winning 12-7.

Kylie Hayes (1-1) earned the victory pitching a complete game three hitter allowing two earned runs while striking out four and walking two in game one.
Torrey Cummings tallied three hits on four at bats with 2 runs batted in while scoring one. Morgan Willingham went 2-3 driving in a run and scoring two. Layla Pettigrew also went 2-3 and scored twice.
In game two Kadence Brewer (1-1) picked up the victory pitching six innings allowing seven earned runs on 11 hits while striking out six and walking two. Maddie O-Quinn threw the final innings allowing no runs or hits.
Willingham picked up where she left off going 3-4 in game two doubling, driving in four and scoring three runs. Pettigrew went 2-3 with two RBI.
Next up for Cleveland State (2-2) are their first road games on the season at Georgia Highlands. First pitch of the double header is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 17.
