The 2024 Cleveland State softball schedule is posted with opening day on February 4.
The Cougars open their season with a double header at Gordon State College. The month of February features 10 non-conference games.
Their second series starts on February 10 with Cleveland State back on the road playing a doubleheader vs Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Alabama.
February 13 is the Cougars home opener where they face Calhoun again in a doubleheader, this time at Cougar Softball Field on the campus of Cleveland State with start times of 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. EST.
The remaining non-conference opponents feature a home and home doubleheader vs Georgia Highlands with the first doubleheader at Highlands on February 17 followed by two at home on February 24.
The rest of the 2024 game schedule consists of 36 conference games beginning Friday, March 1 and Saturday March, 2 vs Jackson State at Cougar Softball Field.
Cleveland State travels for a double header at Chattanooga State on March 6 before a four-game series at Dyersburg State beginning March 8. The Cougars then finish the month at home with two home doubleheaders vs Southwest Tennessee on March 15 and 16, two games vs Walters State on March 20 and ending with a home four-game series vs Motlow State on March 29 and 30.
Sixteen conference games make up the April schedule starting with a visit from Chattanooga State for a doubleheader on April 3. Friday April 5 and Saturday April 6 Cleveland State concludes their 2024 home schedule as Roane State comes to Cougar Softball field for doubleheaders on both days.
Ten remaining games, all on the road, starts with four games at Columbia State on April 12 and 13 followed by a trip to Morristown, TN for a doubleheader contest vs Walters State on April 17. The regular season concludes on April 26 and 27 with two doubleheaders against Volunteer State in Gallatin, TN.
On May 5-9 the Cougars travel to Columbia State to play in the Region VII Double Elimination Tournament with the winner earning a berth to the National Tournament scheduled to be played in Oxford Alabama, May 24-27.
