
Cougars Sweep Double Header, Win Series Against Saluqis
Cleveland State swept their double header and took the series against Southwest Tennessee 3-1. The Cougars (18-6, 6-6) won game one 8-2 and put-up double digits in game two defeating the Saluqis (15-17, 2-12) 10-6.

Game One
Kylie Hayes (9-3) pitched a gem in game one allowing two earned runs on six hits while striking out five and walking two earning the victory.
Morgan Willingham whaled one over the fence for the game's only home run. She went 2-4 with two RBI and a run scored.
Daelynn Cochran tripled and drove in a run going 1-3 and Ava Layne hit a double driving in a run and scoring twice with a 3-4 performance.
Cleveland State was up 2-1 heading into the fourth when they put up a six-run inning to put the game out of reach.
Game Two
Kadence Brewer (7-3) also pitched well allowing just two earned runs on 11 hits while striking out three and walking three to pick up the win.
Kristen Fowler, Layla Pettigrew and Kendall Phillips each homered. Phillips finished with four RBI while Pettigrew and Fowler each drove in two.
Pettigew also doubled along with Willingham. Whitney Lee went 2-4 with two RBI and a run scored.
The Cougars were down 5-2 heading to their half of the fifth inning before the offense put up three, then another five in the bottom of the sixth in front of their home crowd.

Next up for the Cougars is a double header on Wednesday, March 20 hosting Walters State (20-2, 11-1). First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
