Cougars Women's Basketball Loses Opener
Cleveland State women's basketball lost their opening game 52-45. The Cougars played the Cleveland Community College Yetis in their first of two games at the Pellissippi State Tip-Off tournament.

Cleveland State women's basketball lost their opening game 52-45.
The Cougars played the Cleveland Community College Yetis in their first of two games at the Pellissippi State Tip-Off tournament.
"It was obviously not the way we wanted to start the season, but the girls showed a lot of fight and toughness down the stretch closing a double-digit deficit to just three," said head coach Ayana McWilliams. "We just didn't have enough to get us over the hump."
The Cougars are back at it Saturday, November 2 playing Johnson University's JV team in their final game of the tournament. Tip-off is scheduled for noon.
