
Cougars Play with Five and Lose at Volunteer State
Cleveland State had five players available against Volunteer State and couldn't bring home a win.
Each Cougar had to play the entire game and the Pioneers (5-20, 3-13) took advantage coming out on top 62-46.
Maiya Moore led the way in scoring for Cleveland State (6-18, 4-13) scoring 15 points. Ziara Thompson put in 13 and was three rebounds away from a double-double. Mar'Nazha Houston finished with a double-double scoring 12 points and bringing down 13 rebounds.
Volunteer State's Kendall Myree led all scorers with 18 points on the night. Kyra Shearon added another 16 and Ella Disney came in off the bench to score 10.
Cleveland State hopes to have more of their full squad back when they return to the court Wednesday night to host Roane State (10-11, 9-7). Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
