Cougar Volleyball was bested by Reinhardt University on Wednesday August 30 at the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium winning the first and third sets 26-24 and 25-23 while losing the second, fourth and fifth sets 25-18, 25-16 and 15-12.
With the closely played energetic sets Cleveland State saw their match record go to 3-1. Although never liking to lose, Coach Atnip continues to be encouraged with the Cougar chemistry and their never say die attitude.
On Tuesday September 6 the Cougars open conference play at Chattanooga State with the away match slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. The much-anticipated conference opener figures to be extremely competitive as the Tigers like the Cougars have only lost one match on the young season.
