Cleveland State Community College Foundation will celebrate the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of the newly renovated Mark E. Smith Performance Center on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 4 p.m. in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium on the Cleveland State campus. The Performance Center is located on the first floor of the gymnasium and provides state-of-the-art fitness equipment to help student athletes maintain athletic consistency during the academic year. The facility is also open to students and employees.

Kennedy Caudill set a new record for Cleveland State volleyball this year. She finished with 29 solo blocks breaking the previous record of 18 solo blocks in a season.
Two Cleveland State volleyball players earned All-Conference honors this season. Zowee Dillard and Isabella Messer each were named to the TCCAA All-Conference second team.

Cleveland State faces off with the Panthers from Pellissippi State to start the conference tournament. The Cougars (5-14, 0-8) played the Panthers (11-12, 2-6) twice this season with Pellissippi State winning the first game 3-2 and the second 3-0.

Cleveland State's Isabella Messer was named the TCCAA volleyball Defensive player of the week. She picked up 48 digs and threw in four service aces to help lead her team to two wins.
Cleveland State is going to Chattanooga State looking for their first conference win. The Cougars (4-11, 0-6) are coming off their first home victory of the season last night and are looking to ride that momentum to avenge a loss to the Tigers (14-8, 2-3) back on September 24 on their home court. Chattanooga State last played on Friday defeating Trevecca's junior varsity squad 3-0.
Cleveland State volleyball hosts Covenant College tonight with game time set for 7:00 p.m. EST in the L.Quentin Lane Gymnasium on the campus of Cleveland State Community College. The Cougars (3-11, 0-6) are coming off a competitive match with conference rival Roane State.

Cleveland State got their first home win of the season. The Cougars (4-11, 0-6) swept Covenant College in three sets 25-19, 25-18 and 25-12.

Cleveland State kept it close, but couldn't pull out a win against Roane State. The Cougars (3-11, 0-6) lost the first set 25-16, but made the next two closer going down 25-23 and 25-20.
