
Cougars Lose at First Place Walters State
Cleveland State volleyball is still looking to capture their first conference victory of the season. The Cougars (1-8, 0-4) went to first place Walters State (13-3, 3-0) losing in straight sets 26-16, 26-15 and 25-17.

The Cougars (1-8, 0-4) went to first place Walters State (13-3, 3-0) losing in straight sets 26-16, 26-15 and 25-17.
Zowee Dillard was the only Cleveland State player in double digits in kills with 10, helping her to retain her lead in the conference in the category at 3.79 per set. She also led the team with 11 assists.
Avianna Williams had 10 assists of her own. Isabella Messer finished with a team high 11 digs.
For the Senators Rylee Haynie led the team with 10 kills. The Walters State squad committed 12 errors overall in the match, half that of the Cougars, helping them to secure the win to stay on top of the conference standings.
Next up for Cleveland State is the second game of a five-game road set with this one being played at Trevecca Nazarene Saturday, September 28 at 4:30 p.m.
