"While it always stings to drop a match at home, I am proud of the fight that I consistently see in our girls," head coach Peyton McDaniel said. "We are still finding our identity as a team and working on finding our on-court chemistry, however, based on our first half of conference play to now, the amount of growth is attributed to the hard work they put in every day."
Zowee Dillard, the league's leader in kills, played a different role on the night. She set up her teammates with a team high 22 assists to go along with 11 digs. Marissa Ray led the team in digs with 18 while Isabella Messer matched Dillard with 11. Kennedy Caudill took charge on the offensive end with eight kills.
Overall the Raiders (14-6, 5-1) took control with 41 kills compared to the Cougars 24. Roane State's Haley Ledford, the league leader in service aces, led the way with four aces along with 33 assists.
