The Cleveland State volleyball team opens their season this evening.
The Cougars travel to Snead State for their first official game of the year with a 7:00 p.m. eastern start time.
"We are so excited to get on the road and see some outside competition," head coach Peyton McDaniel said.
"We compete at a high level in our own gym each day, but there's nothing quite like real competition."
The team went to Tennessee Wesleyan Tuesday for a scrimmage in preparation for their first game tonight.
"We are so fortunate to live in an area with such talent in the surrounding area schools that we don't have to travel too far to go play good volleyball," McDaniel said.
The Cougars will play their first home game of the season at Cleveland State next Thursday, August 29 hosting Wallace State Community College-Hanceville with a 6:30 p.m. start time.
