
Cougars Lose at Home to Chattanooga State
Cleveland State volleyball went down at home in straight sets against Chattanooga State. The Cougars (1-7, 0-3) are still searching for their first win in conference play, while the Tigers (12-6, 1-1) picked up their first conference victory taking the match 25-11, 25-20 and 25-18.

Cleveland kept it close in the second and third sets, finishing with more kills in set two.
Zowee Dillard, the league's leader in kills per game, had a game high 17 kills to go along with 10 assists and seven digs. Avianna Williams finished with a team high 14 assists. Isabella Messer's nine digs was a game high, she is currently second overall in the conference in the digs department.
For Chattanooga State, Emily Haddox had the most kills with 11, she is second in the conference in the category. Baileigh Seale was the game's leader in assists with 24.
Cleveland State travels for their next game hoping to upset first place Walters State (12-3, 2-0) to pick up their first conference win of the season. Game time is 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 26.
