
Cougars Volleyball Wins Second Straight
The Cleveland State volleyball team won their second game in a row. The Cougars (3-8, 0-4) went to the University of the Cumberlands and defeated their JV team in five sets.

"We are very excited to pick up another win, especially on the road," head coach Peyton McDaniel said. "We hope to keep building on the momentum we have right now."
Cleveland State won the first two sets against the Patriots, but Cumberlands wouldn't go away winning sets three and four before the Cougars put the match away in the final set.
Zowee Dillard and Elanee Cotter each had 11 kills in the win with Isabella Messer contributing another nine. Kennedy Caudill put together a team high seven blocks.
The team is now over the hump of their five-game road trip. Their next game is Wednesday, October 2 at Reinhardt University to face their JV team with game time set for 6:30 p.m.
