On a night when the freshmen volleyball players went all out in recognition of their Cougar sophomore teammates Cleveland State lost in three hard fought sets to Walters State 25-17, 25-21 and 25-22.  At the conclusion of the Thursday October 13 match Cougar Volleyball stands with an overall record of 7-11 and a conference mark of 0-8.

The final home contest of the 2022 season appropriately name Sophomore Recognition night featured special acknowledgement from Cleveland State Athletics, Head Coach Alizabeth Atnip along with the freshmen players.  The passionate playing sophomore roster members include Brianna Parks, Kathryn Kibler, Kacie Hughes, Cassandra Vaughn, Olivia Lowden and Madison Husted,

Coach Atnip along with Cleveland State Athletics appreciates the dedication that each of the players have given to their athletic and academic experience here at Cleveland State.

Next on the season agenda is the concluding competitions of the regular season with three road matches including a final conference matchup vs first place Chattanooga State on Tuesday October 18.  On October 20 and 24 the Cougars travel to Reinhardt University and Bryan College respectively.
