Cougar Volleyball Falls to Roane State in Four Sets

In a four-set conference road match loss to Roane State on Tuesday October 11, Cleveland State saw their overall record drop to 7-9 with a conference mark of 0-7.  The Cougars started off in a big way winning set one 25-17 but were unable to build on the momentum losing the next three sets 25-19, 25-16 and 30-28.

 

In a match that showcased the Cougars grit and determination Taylor Hancock and Ella Johnson each had 19 assists supported by their hustling teammates as Madison Husted had 28 Diggs while Hancock herself had 18.  Kathryn Kibler, Kacie Hughes and Olivia Lowden each had 14, 13 and 12 Diggs respectively.  A balanced Kill attack was led by Brianna Parks with 11, Jazlyn Butler at 8 with Kibler and Johnson throwing down six each. 

 

Cleveland State is back on the court quick as they host Treveccaa Nazarene University in the L. Quentin Lane Gymnasium on Wednesday October 12 starting at 6:30 p.m.  Admission is $8 per person with free admission for Cleveland State students.
