
Cougar Volleyball Wins Five Set Match at Covenant College
Cougar Volleyball won a five set road match vs Covenant College on Thursday September 15 winning sets one, four and five; 25-12, 25-17 and 15-11. Covenant scored wins in sets two and three 25-21 and 25-15.
Highlighting Cleveland State's total team match win included Brianna Parks and Jazlyn Butler with 11 and nine Kills respectively while Taylor Hancock handed out 20 Assists and served six Aces. Ella Johnson excelled in virtually every statistical category with five Kills, nine Assists, 21 Digs and four Services Aces. Joining Johnson in the Dig department, Madison Husted had 20, Cassandra Vaughn bumped in with 17 while Hancock had 12.
The Cougars with an overall match record of 5-3 and conference march of 0-2 is back in the conference schedule traveling to play Walters State in Morristown TN on Tuesday September 20. Currently Walters is in a second place tie with Roane State with a 1-1 conference record and an overall season mark of 5-2.
