Volleyball Regular Season Ends in Five-Set Loss to Bryan

Cougar Volleyball played Bryan College toe to toe for five sets eventually losing the final set 15-11 ending the 2022 regular season with an overall record of 7-14.  The road match on Monday October 24 started with a 25-23 loss for the Cougars who then turned it around with wins in set two and three 25-22 and 25-22.  Bryan evened the sets at two each winning the fourth by the same score of 25-22 before taking the fifth and final set to win the match.

 

With both teams all over the floor, Cleveland state was led in Kills by Ella Johnson with 20 while Brianna Parks had 11.  Taylor Hancock had 21 Assists along with 20 from Johnson.  Madison Husted showed the way with 22 Diggs as Kacie Hughes had 20 with Cassandra Vaughn and Hancock each kicking in with 13.

 

With the regular season complete Cougar Volleyball readies themselves for the single elimination Region Tournament beginning on Friday October 28 at Chattanooga State.  Number four seed Cleveland State starts play Friday afternoon at the tournament vs number one seed Chattanooga at 5:30.
