Cleveland State Community College baseball won their home opener against Vincennes University 11-4.
The Cougars took a commanding 7-0 lead in the first two innings behind two home runs, one by third basemen Chris Caffrey, the other by catcher Anthony Hunt.
Starting pitcher Michael Dike through 4 1/3 innings striking out 5 and allowing 3 earned runs.
Pitchers Raunel Perez and Drew Buckhault shut down the Trailblazers the remaining 4 2/3 innings, with Perez picking up the victory.
The Cougars host Vincennes in a double header tomorrow with first pitch scheduled for 11 a.m.
