Despite hitting four home runs the Cougars couldn't complete the three game series sweep today against Southwest Tennessee CC, losing their first home game of the season.
Through six innings the game was tied at seven, with Cougars catcher Anthony Hunt driving in five of those runs on two homers, one of those being a grand slam.
The Saluquis then scored seven runs in the seventh and didn't relinquish the lead, beating Cleveland State 17-10.
Cleveland State (10-7, 3-5) plays next in a non-conference double header at Bryan College this Wednesday with first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m.
The Cougars next conference series starts this Friday at Chattanooga State CC with first pitch slated for 2 p.m.
Cleveland State returns home to play at Cougar field next Wednesday, March, 25 hosting Georgia Highlands College. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
