The Cougars travel to Motlow State looking to build on their current winning streak.
Cleveland State (7-5, 3-2) won their last two games and most recently on the road with a 14-point victory at Jackson State (2-8, 1-5).
A win tonight will keep the Cougars in the top five in the conference and would be their first victory over the top four teams on the season.
Motlow State is on a three-game winning streak and wants to stay on top of the conference standings with a win tonight.
The Cougars average 78.6 points per game compared to the Bucks 80.4. Motlow State also holds the advantage in the rebounding department with 42.4 per contest compared to Cleveland State's 39.2.
Julius King, Jr. leads the way offensively for the Cougars averaging 20.5 points per game. King ranks fourth in the conference in points scored and leads the conference at 50 percent shooting from behind the three-point line. He is one of three Cleveland State players averaging double figures in scoring.
LaVonte Harris scores 16.1 points per game leading Motlow State and is one of four Bucks averaging double digits in scoring. Harris also is the team's top rebounder and ranks second in the conference with 8.4 per game. Teammate Debron Russell is the conference's fourth leading rebound bringing down 7.9 per outing.
This is the first of two meetings between the teams this season.
