Head Baseball Coach Mike Policastro has signed a group of talented newcomers who will look to make an immediate impact in the spring of 2021.

"We are excited about our incoming recruiting class," said Policastro. "We feel like we were able to fill the needs we had after last year's season. We have good balance with first time freshmen as well as some transfers. After last season was cut short, we look forward to getting back on the field and working with this year's team."

Without further ado, let's meet this year's 2020-21 recruiting class! 

Brandon Lejeune, a 6'1" third and first baseman from Knoxville, Tenn. and a graduate of Bearden High School.

Bryce Clark, a 6'2" right-handed pitcher from Kennesaw, Ga. and a graduate of Harrison High School.

Bryce Houghton, a 5'11" right-handed pitcher from Dalton, Ga. and a graduate of Dalton High School.

Cohen Wilbanks, a 6'1" catcher from Cartersville, Ga. and graduate of Cartersville High School. He transfers into Cleveland State from NCAA Division II Lee University.

Conner Brumley, a 6'3" right-handed pitcher from Cleveland, Tenn. and a graduate of Ooltewah High School.

Daniel Crabtree, a pitcher from Marietta, Ga. and a graduate of Pope High School.

Dylan Jacob, a 6'4 right-handed pitcher from Powell, Tenn. and a graduate of Powell High School.

Hayden Maynor, a 5'10" third baseman and catcher from Soddy-Daisy, Tenn. and a graduate of Soddy Daisy High School.

Herson Lopez, a 6'3" pitcher from Miami, Fla. and a graduate of Antioch High School.

J.D. Day, a 6'1" infielder from Ringgold, Ga. and a graduate of Gordon Lee High School.

Justin Bradt, a 6'3" left-handed pitcher from Burlington, Ontario and a graduate of M.M. Robinson High School.

Matthew Schultz, a 6'0" middle infielder from Knoxville, Tenn. and a graduate of Powell High School.

Matthew Pilkington II, a 5'10" catcher from Shelbyville, Tenn. and a graduate of Cascade High School.

Owen Clark, a 6'1" left-handed pitcher from Knoxville, Tenn. and a graduate of Farragut High School. He transfers into Cleveland State from NCAA Division II Carson-Newman University.

Ryan McCarthy, a 5'10" catcher from Knoxville, Tenn. and a graduate of Farragut High School. He transfers into Cleveland State from NCAA Division I Middle Tennessee State University.

Tate Daniels, a 6'2" outfielder and pitcher from Greenback, Tenn. and a graduate of Heritage High School.

Taylor Alford, a 5'8" catcher from Knoxville, Tenn.  and a graduate of Powell High School. He transfers into Cleveland State from NCCAA-member Johnson University.

Yosuany Herrera-Valdes is a 5'10" outfielder from Pinar de Río, Cuba. and a graduate of John Overton High School.
